The EFAy visits JEN (Joves d'Esquerra Nacionalista) youth organization of the PSM-EN (Partido Socialista Mallorca) 9th Congress on Mallorca. The congress was held in Palma, the capital of the Mediterranean island, on the 28th of June under the slogan "Building the nationalist left of the 21st Century".

In recent years the Balearic Islands has not only experienced an increasing democratic deficit but also been challenged by continuing aggressions on Catalan language and culture. Despite this, JEN have been able to strengthen the organization and confront the problems in an utterly effective way. The EFAy supports JEN in there struggle for the right to self determination, social justice and environmental sustainability. Further the EFAy condemns all political, social or cultural strains on the Catalan culture of the Balearic Islands.

The Mallorcan youth organization has been a member of EFAy since the 2007 General Assembly in Bilbao. Today JEN constitute an irreplaceable partner among nationalists in Europe. Together EFAy member organization have common aims and goals and the more we realise our collective potential and work towards our common visions as one, the
stronger we will be.

The EFAy celebrates the work of JEN and wishes the newly elected bureau the best of luck.
